I am looking for information about my ggg grandparents that settled in Marquette/Green Lake Counties, WI. Christian Mead & Ann Cornell were counted in the 1850 WI census and the 1855 state census showing that they married shortly after 1850 with 1 boy & 1 girl born by 1855. I would like to find information concerning land ownership for Christian & Ann as Christian was a lawyer. Their oldest child was Webster b. 1852-53 but no other information has been found out about him. Elisabeth/Libbie b. 1855, my gg grandmother, married Thomas N. Brown in 1878 and moved to Montana where her father was mining and lawyering. Kathering/Kate Mead b. 1857 stayed in WI and married T.J. or F. J. Paull. From the Federal Censuses that I have seen, the Paulls lived their lives in Green Lake County. Ann Mead did not follow Christian to live in Montana but stayed behind to raise the children but frequently visited him by train. It is believed that she died in WI between the years 1884-1890. I would like to be in contact with someone that could help me find records, tombstones, etc. in order to fill in our 'gaps'. Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated.
