Mrs. Nellie DeVoe

Mrs. Nellie O. DeVoe, 73 Brodhead, died at 8:20 P.M. Sunday, Feb. 23 at St. Clare Hospital. She had been a patient there since Feb. 15. The former Nellie Jacobs was the daughter of Levi and Leona Schultz Jacobs. She married Angus A. DeVoe Nov. 1. 1924 and had since lived in Brodhead. At one time she and her husband had owned and operated a dry cleaning establishment in Brodhead and later both had been in charge of maintenance at the Steussy Clinic. Mrs. DeVoe too had been a hatmaker-dressmaker associated with the late Mrs. Nellie Emminger.

Mrs. DeVoe was a sister of Edgar Jacobs of Monroe.

Her husband died Jan. 11, 1960; her father in 1930 and her mother Jan. 7, 1955.

Arrangements are pending at the Everson Funeral Home of Brodhead.
