Looking for John Evans and his family. I have a lot of information but can’t seem to put the pieces together. Mr. and Mrs. John Evans had a child, Mary Ellen, (my g grandmother) born in Prospect, NY in 1860 (per her DC). I can’t find Mary Ellen in 1860 or 1870 census. I have found her in 1880 after she married my g grandfather. I can’t find any of her family in the census anywhere, probably because the name is too common or incorrect info. I have this from the family scrapbook,

J. Evan died 1/11/1872
Esther (possibly Evans) died 10/18/1866

From a family Bible:

John Evans born 2/11/1828
W. Hugh born 3/25/1830
Hannah born 6/20/1835
Daniel 12/17/1845
Harriet 8/25/1853

Also found a note believed to be in Mary Ellen’s handwriting, “Dear Brother Edward died March 20, buried Monday 23, 1910 (or could be 1916, hard to tell)

These people could be Mary Ellen’s siblings or possibly her aunts and uncles. I have no clue.

Also, I have professional photographs taken apparently of Mr. and Mrs. John Evans. Hers was taken in Utica, NY but his was taken in Waupun, Wisconsin. I can only assume that the family lived in the Waupun area at some point. John may have been born in Wales, and his wife, New York State.
