Anna
Haskins, 99, Luxemburg, slipped into the arms of her Savior and
Lord Jesus on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008. She was born Jan. 9, 1909, in Long Lake, Wis., to the late George and Anna Halada. Anna was a lifelong resident of the area. She married
Stan Haskins on Aug. 31, 1931. He preceded her in death on Sept. 6, 1994.
Anna enjoyed baking, cooking, flowers, gardening and card parties. She faithfully went with
Stan to Shakeys where he played banjo for 22 years. She was a very faithful churchgoer, and the church kitchen was named after her. Stan and Anna belonged to several
Golden Age
Clubs. They were also honorary members of
Packer City Strummers.
Anna is survived by her children, Jim (special friend
Nona)
Haskins, Green Bay; Jeannie (Donald)
Hargis, Little Suamico; grandchildren, Brian
Hardtke, Jenny (Greg) Janus; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kari, Shawn, Anna-Jean, Jacob, Mitchel; nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Eileen; a grandson, Dan Hardtke; lifelong friends,
Orvis and Florence
Resler.
Friends may call at
Harvest Community Church, Luxemburg, from 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009. Funeral 3 p.m. with
Pastor Bill
Darland and
Pastor Kevin
Leach officiating. Burial in the Casco Town Cemetery. Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home, Casco, is assisting the family.
A special thanks to
Oak Creek and Unity Hospice along with nurses and caregivers for all their loving care and attention. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Anna's name.
