Hello,

One branch of my family tree stayed in Eau Claire county for a few years before moving to Marshall County in Minnesota. Carl A. Giltvedt and wife Helga arrived in Eau Claire county sometime soon after March of 1881. They brought two children with them from Norway - Marie (4 yrs. old), and Thor (2 yrs. old). While in Eau Claire county, they had two more children. One was Baken, and I believe he was born sometime between March and June of 1881. The other child was Charles, and he was born February 4th of 1882.

I hope to find a record of birth or baptism for both Baken and Charles, and believe my best chance is finding local church baptism records. I have searched on FamilySearch.org and with the Wisconsin Historical Society with no luck.

I hope someone reading this knows of a list of Norwegian churches from that time (1881 to 1884). Any assitance or guidance you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
