I asked because apparently the surname Woodland still existed in Dodge Co. in the 1990's.

Putting "Woodland" in the Pico Search on the DJCGS website yields 18 clickable mentions, some from an ongoing clippings indexing project, some from history books.

Depending on what you need to find out regarding Woodland, maybe the WI State censuses for that same area would help... The years were something like 1855, 1865, 1875, 1895 & 1905, but there were also pre-statehood ones. Some are indexed online, with creative spellings.
