I'll look into the site you sent. I do have Ancestry so most census is available to me, but there may be something I haven't had access to at this site.
I was in the process of emailing the Oregon Public Library, and I will also email the historical society. I'm sure I'll hear something informative from them, but maybe not until next week, I suspect. not with the 4th of July looming.
thanks again, it will be great to find them. we've been trying to figure several things out over the past 5 years regarding them, and this is the closest we've been to when and where they died, one of many questions they've brought up.
