Henrietta Sengbusch or Saengbusch and Carl Wlike

I am looking for the relatives of Henrietta Sengbusch or Saengbusch b 16 Feb 1865 in Pommein. She lived in Walworth Co. WI. She was married to Carl Wilke b 1858 Germany. Some of their children were born in Walworth Co. WI.

Those children with pre-1907 birth records on the Internet are Minnie Marie 23 Nov 1890, Henrietta Bertha 07 Feb 1895 and Arnold Louis 12 July 1896. Charles Albert Wilke's draft record says that he was born on the 8 Dec 1888 in Elkhart in Walworth county.
The family moved to Grant, Clark Co. WI by the 1900 census. Minnie married Pagenkopf, Henrietta Bertha married Counsell and Helen the youngest child also married a Counsell.

This is a marriage record for a couple with the same names who were married at the right time in Walworth Co.
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/XRD7-YBL
groom's name: Carl Wilke
bride's name: Henriet Saengbusch
marriage date: 10 Sep 1886
groom's father's name: William Wilke
groom's mother's name: Caroline Landfatt
bride's father's name: Frederick Saengbusch
bride's mother's name: Huth
indexing project (batch) number: I00326-6
system origin: Wisconsin-EASy
source film number: 1275587
reference number: cn 199
Collection: Carl Wilke, "Wisconsin, Marriages, 1836-1930"

Based on dates of death Carl and Henrietta seem to be buried in Lomira with a Frederick Wilke who appears to be Carl's father. Of course people in this time frame often used different of their many names. So Carl could have his father listed on the marriage record as Frederick but the grave stone could say William. No one would have seen a problem. But those of us following do see a problem.

Newspaper death notices would be helpful especially for the parents of Carl aka Charles Wilke b 1858 and his wife Henrietta aka Hattie b 1865. Actually death notices on anyone would be great. Thanks for any help that you can give. Mary
Hi, I'm curious as I see you mention an F.A. Distelhorst. I believe that is how I saw my great grandfather listed in a marriage record for the city of Manitowoc, WI. However his name was not F.A. Distelhorst. It should be Charles or Carl and I'm not really sure which of those is accurate either. In any event if your looking for an F.A. Distelhorst married or living in Manitowoc, WI it might be my great grandfather. Who else do you have this person linked too?

It is interesting to see what people think they know. Verna did not "lose" her mind & to say she did is being ill informed. She lived her life supporting her daughter with a reputable job. Verna did very well for herself & I believe putting this on the internet is very disrespectful to her family. Do not ever state she "lost" her mind. You are misinformed & do not know this family.

George Fuller of Riplinger

I need help with my Fuller family. It appears that my great-great grandfather George Henry Fuller was born in Aztalan, Jefferson County, Wisconsin, as I believe this is his family:

1850 Census
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/M4DV-LJR

His death certificate has no birthdate listed. When I back into it by the years, months and days, it comes out to October 2, 1850.

Although George was supposedly born in 1850, I think the 1848 is correct as this is the only family in Wisconsin that has a John, with a wife Frances, and a son George born in the month of October.

I cannot find John & Frances in the 1870 Census and my great-great grandfather George was living on his own. I’ve tried to locate graves in Jefferson County to no avail for John and Frances. There is a John Fuller who was born in 1826 that several people point to, but I do not believe this is correct. Based on the Census records that I can find, John would have been born around 1812 and Frances around 1814. I think they died between 1860 and 1870, unless they moved away but I do not know where they would have moved to.

John was supposed to be born in Vermont and I did find a John D. Fuller born August 30, 1813 in Chelsea, Orange County, VT. If this family is the correct one, George had siblings: Charles D (1840-1901), Daniel (b 1841), Lucinda (b 1843) and Abby Fuller (b 1855) who married Irwin Knutesen.

The only other thing that I know is George moved to the Town of Beaver, Clark County, WI where he married my ancestor Helen Augusta Pickett (1855-1920). Then for some reason, the family moved to Sparta, Monroe County, WI where my great-grandmother Lillian Mary Fuller was born in 1893. Then the family moved back to Clark County where both George & Helen lived and died. The John that others suggest is the same was living in Monroe County and died there in 1901, so I’m really lost.

The Fuller family has been elusive for me for 25 years and I’m hoping someone can help me. Any insight or help would greatly be appreciated. Thank you!
Suzanna Vergowe/Vergouwe was born in Zuidzande, Zeeland, Netherlands on 8 April 1857, daughter of Abraham Vergouwe and Sarah Suzanna deWolfe. She emigrated to the US with her parents and brother Isaac between 1863 and 1873. The family may have stayed in New York State for a time. I believe that Isaac got married in New York. . .possibly Daniel and Suzanna also married there.

Suzanna died 22 Oct 1889 according to the dates on her gravestone in the Union cemetery, Holland township, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin. She is buried next to her parents there.

I have only sketchy information on their children, and would appreciate anything you can tell me about them.

Janice Hesselink

My maiden name is Birr, and my father was Delbert Edward Birr. His father was Herman Birr, and I know there was an uncle named Otto and Ella in our family. I'm not sure if this helps, but it may. I am the Steve's wife (suewallace@me.com). My father had one brother and 2 sisters, and I am still in touch of 2 of my cousins.

Now that the 1940 census records are out, Helen was the second wife of Casimir. Does anyone know if there are marriage records available for this area? They would have married between 1936 and 1940. Either Catholic or Polish Independent Church in Withee area? I would like to know her previous name or maiden name.
Jackie Krzeminski

Thank you, that's the right family, and I will explore other parts of that extensive website. Charles and Minna had a general store in Thorp, so another project will be searching for photos and descriptions of that.
I should mention that George Albert later married Grace Greiner of Mayville, so she became [another] Grace ALBERT in 1908. She was born in Bavaria in Aug. 1888, close in age to the other Grace ALBERT, and she is definitely not the 12-year-old living in Thorp in 1900.
