I have just returned from Montana's capital and obtained my father's birth certificate. I also bought a copy of the informational purposes only, Standard Certificare of Birth, M.C.2332. It states that my father's parents place's of birth, both were born in Wisconsin!

Parents of Harry Junior Davis who was born, 1928 in Miles City, Montana, are;

Father;
Harry William Davis who was born in Baldwin, St. Croix County, Wisconsin on June 20, 1890(birth date source Death Certificate Montana State, State file #67 2665). also listed on this S.C.of Birth Harry W. Davis list occupation as a Passenger Brakeman on a Rail Road.

Mother;
Florence L. Dickens who was born in Le Valle, Sauk County, Wisconsin, source M.C.#2332.
Florence L. Dickens Davis Johnson died in Spokane, Spokane County, Washington on November 3, 1961. Source Washington Death Certificate, Registrar's #2066. Also stated is date of birth, April 3, 1898, place Wisconsin. Father of Florence Dickens, Elsworth or Edward Dickens(ins).

I also have a Baptism Certificate for Harry William Davis and it states Harry W. is from Madison, Wisconsin. This certificate was dated Feb. 18, 1917. This could be the date that their first child died, or before Harry William Davis enlistd for duty fir WWI.

So, I was happy to find where my grandma Florence was born.

Say, the name William runs in this Davis branch of the family, as does Leonard, Daniel, Harry(is a big one), William runs large in the family too.
