Does anyone know where I should start to look for adoption records for my grandfather? I believe he may have been adopted by a family residing at Red Cliff/Bayfield sometime between 1900-1905. He was most likely born in New York. If you have any tips for me, let me know. I believe the information on his adoption should be public information now, since it is more than 100 years old and my grandfather is deceased. Thanks for any tips you might have.
