Keith R. Williams, age 74, of Kenosha, died Wednesday night, Jan. 10, in Hospitality Nursing & Rehab Center.
He was born in Necedah on Aug. 24, 1926, the son of the late Kenneth R. and
Blossom (
Jameson)
Williams. He attended
Adams Friendship school while residing in the Arkdale area as a youth. He moved to Kenosha in 1943 and served in the U.S. Navy as a
Seaman First Class from August 1944 until June 1946. He received the American Area Ribbon, Asiatic
Pacific Area Ribbon with two stars and the World War II
Victory Ribbon.
He married Audrey M. LaFayette on June 12, 1948 in Kenosha. She preceded him in death on Nov. 25, 1986.
Keith was employed at Nash-Kelvinator and then American Motors Corporation for 30 years as a supervisor in the maintenance department, retiring in 1975. He was a member of First Congregational Church where he served as an usher. He belonged to the
Loyal Order of the
Moose,
Lodge 286, and the VFW Post 1865. He enjoyed woodworking, restoring antiques, walking, raising Siberian huskies and going to Casinos.
Survivors include; one son, Kenneth M. (JoEllen)
Williams of Kenosha; one daughter, Linda (Edward) Prostko of
Pleasant Prarie; one brother, Clayton (Helen)
Williams of Adams; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Duane; a daughter in infancy; and a newborn grandchild.
Bruch Funeral Home, Kenosha, is serving the family.
