I'm trying to verify that my ancestor, Samuel H. Morgan, born approx. January 1822 in Ohio Co., VA, was the s/o of Edward Morgan and Elizabeth Hedges. Samuel's death certificate indicated his parents were Edward M. Morgan and Elizabeth.

Edward Morgan and Elizabeth Hedges were married on January 13, 1820 in Brooke County, VA. Apparently, Elizabeth died prior to 1840, as I found a marriage record of Edward Morgan and Margaret McCollock dated March 4, 1840 in Ohio Co., VA

I've found Edward living in Ohio Co., in the 1820 census, 1830-1840 in Brooke Co., VA and back again in Ohio Co, VA in the 1850-1870 census.

If someone has an index for wills and estate or death records for the time period of 1870-1880, I would appreciate a look-up.

Any help with this family would be very helpful.
