Where was Foreman's massacre, Sept. 1777?

Does anyone know the precise location called "the Narrows" where Capt. William Foreman's company was ambushed on September 27, 1777? I have found where there is a highway historical marker on Route 2 near the town of McMechen...is that the spot where it occured, or is it simply *near* the spot?

My children and I are descendants of John Wilson (1756-1827) who was a survivor of the ambush, and I would like to take them to the exact location of the ambush (if possible) and see the hillside that the survivors climbed to escape the ambush.

I appreciate any clues that can bring me closer to the site of the tragedy. Thanks!
