I descend from Ensign Jacob Ogle who was killed at Foreman's Massacre. The location has been describe as on Graves Creek, also at McMechen Narrows. There is a town along the river called McMechen, so I would guess that the narrows is near there. Graves Creek seems to be to the south at Moundsville, some distance below McMechen. So I'm not clear either where "The Narrows" actually is located.

I'm also curious about your ancestor John Wilson. I have him listed as the father of Mary Wilson, wife of my Jacob Ogle. I think the only evidence I found was the fact that he was at the massacre and thus knew Jacob and was a strong possibility as the father of his wife. Can you substantiate that there is a relationship there? I sure would love to know that because then we are cousins.

Look forward to your response.

John
