Elizabeth Toney Dilley Carter Burgess was my great, great grandmother. I have only one picture of her with her twin brother Joe Toney standing together in front of a farmhouse? She is holding a jar of flowers. There is some type of marker with the word Swift on it in the background. My grandmother, Grace Virginia Roberts McCarthy is the only living link that I have currently to my descendants. I will ask her if there is Cherokee in our bloodline.
