I am writing from Grand Chain, Illinois to share an obituary for a man who was born in Wirts Co. It is as follows:

VAN RADER

Van Rader, 82, of Karnak, died Sunday, March 24, 2002 at Western Baptist Hospital at Paducah.
Born Sept. 20. 1919 in Wirt County, W. Va., Mr Rader was a retired carpenter and was a member of Upper Salem Baptist Church in Metropolis and a member of Carpenters Local 640 of Metropolis.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Lucille Roberts Rader of Karnak; one daughter, Vanita Corzine and husband Phillip of Karnak; three grandaughters, Tonya Wiseman and husband Tim of Metropolis and Crystal West and husband Tim and Kala Corzine, all of Karnak; one grandson, Austin Corzine of Karnak; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Blanche Vernon Rader; and one brother, Donald Rader.
Funeral service was held Tuesday at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak with Rev. Carl Miller officiating. Burial followed at Anderson Cemetery in Boaz with military graveside rites being conducted by Vienna VFW Post 5222
