I'm looking for graves for the family of George and Sarah Snyder, who lived near Creston in Spring Creek District, Wirt Co. George was born December 7, 1805, in Bedford Co., PA, and died January 21, 1892, aged 86 yrs, 1 mo., 14 days. Sarah Snyder was born in 1814 in Bedford Co., PA, and died June 1880. Their son David A. Snyder was born in 1847 in either Bedford Co., PA, or Allegany Co., MD, and died February 13, 1894. His wife Rachel Snyder was born in 1845 in VA/WVA, and died January 2, 1929.

George Snyder was a brother to Judith Perrin, wife of Robert Bennet Perrin of Freeport, Wirt Co. George's wife Sarah may have been a sister to Robert Perrin; this though is not yet determined.

The listed residence for the above Snyder families was in or near Creston.

was wondering if you knew there was a Snyder cemetary out near Creston somewhere my sister in law is a Snyder and her family is burried there I will ask her and see if she knows any of the names you have down but not sure if she is in to genology or not Cheryl

Yes, I'd be interested in what your sister has on this cemetery. I understand there's a cemetery just south of Creston near Annamoriah, in Calhoun Co., that has some Snyders in it; is this the one?

I have some info on the Snyders from Wirt Co. My grandmother was Opal Dolly Snyder, the daughter of George and Mary (Wix) Snyder. George was the son of David and Rachel (Merrill) Snyder. I live about 10 miles from the McCray - Snyder Cemetary, all the people listed above are buried there. It is located on property where they lived. The cemetary is in Creston. The road is on the Calhoun Co. - Wirt Co. line, and goes through the property they lived on. I don't have alot of PA info on the Snyders. If you could send this info it would be a great help. I do have photos back to David and Rachel (Merrill) Snyder.
