HUNT, Clyde Ray, 86, of Sistersville, WV, departed this life on July 5, 2012, at his home.
He was born October 3, 1925 in Hickory, PA, a son of the late Joseph Atley Hunt and Lucinda Morris Hunt.
Ray was raised near Littleton, WV. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the South Pacific. He worked as a repairman in the maintenance department at PPG for 38 years. He enjoyed nature, fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Oxford Street Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Braxie Leurella Whiteman Hunt, whom he married on February 8, 1952; son, Joseph (Betty) Hunt, of New Matamoras, OH; daughters, Judy Perkins of Newport, OH, Mary (Jeff) Adams, of Fairmont, WV, and Susan (Steve) Racer, of Slicker Falls; sister, Faye Kocher, of Steelton; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John D. Hunt, of New Martinsville and Bryce Hunt, of Prescott, AZ, and sister, Mary Hunt, of Littleton, WV.
There will be a graveside service on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Northview Cemetery with Evangelist, Jerry Toothman, officiating.
