CAIN, Julian A., 78, of Wheeling, W.Va., died Saturday, July 19, 2008, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
He was born March 30, 1930, in Hastings, W.Va., a son of the late Henry and Bessie Mae Hatcher Cain.
He was a retired City of Wheeling Fireman; former employee of Valley National Gas; former co-owner of Suburban Pools, Wheeling; a member of the Shriner's Legion of Honor; and a Marine veteran of the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Dora Mae Coen, Violet Elks, Martha Nickeson and Pearl Liska.
Surviving is his wife, Genevieve "Lee" Miller Cain; two children, Vicki Kalany of St. Clairsville, Ohio, and Ronald Cain of Wheeling; two sisters, Edith Wise of Charleston, W.Va., and Betty Berry of Sardis, Ohio; and three grandchildren, Chassidy Cain, Corey Cain and Kevin Kalany.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Julian was a tissue donor to CORE, The Center of Organ Recovery and Education, and the family requests memorial contributions be made to CORE.
