Looking for Thomas and Julia (Reed) Burk who lived in Upshur County WV from mid 1860 thru at least mid 1880's. Believe Thomas's father was Patrick Burk and they were both born in Ireland. Julia Reed was born in Harrison (later Barbour Co) VA and her parents were Jefferson & Eleanor Reed. Thomas & Julia were married in Barbour Co 1865 but then moved to Upshur Co (possibly Union District). I've lost track of them after the death of the son (John) in 1887. It appears that in later years they started using the spelling Burke instead of Burk. Does anyone have any other info on this family. If they moved elsewhere. Also, Julia may have later remarried since Thomas was 30 yrs older (46/16 when they married) than her. Julia was an older sister to my ggggrandmother Sarah Reed which is why I am tracking family. Any help would be appreciated.
