Granville Zin Jett was my GG grandfather. He was the son of Alvin Jett. Born Nov. 2 1871 in WV; died 1-28-35 (info on birth, death, and funeral from Jett family bible). He died in Roane County.His funeral was at a Baptist church in Newton, WV, Rev.Edward Hunt officiating. On a second line is written: Maysel Laurel Creek, then another line has: PO Clay WV. I am still in search of his burial site, and what happened to his wife--whether she is buried beside him. In 1920, I found Granville living in Nicholas Co., WV without Mary. by 1930, he is no longer living at the home in Nicholas Co., (contrary to what the census reads, she was not his wife, but his dau-in-law, married to W.C.Jett, my G grandfather)

I am very much interested in finding the final resting place, and the fate of Mary Ann Nichols Jett.
