Thaks for the info. The Richard Eddy I am looking for info about was born 1878, son of Daniel Eddy & Rose Ann Jenkins. Richards second wife was Catherine V. Kate Welch.

I was raised at Beatrice in Ritchie County and now go back to the Stanley Farm there just about every month right now. Will eventually spend my summers there. Yes, Beatrice still exists but they don't have a Post Office there anymore. I know many of the Eddy's but most have either passed away or moved from the area. Let me know if I can be of help.....

Daniel Eddy was my greatgrandfather and is buried up on Mellon ridge in the eddy/jenkin/welch graveyard. Rosa Jenkins was his second wife. His first wife and daughter child are buried up on dry ridge cemetary

married 2 Feb. 1893

Nimrod Eddy 23, Belinda Valentine 21, Jan. 3 1897.

No other info on record. No parents names.

The last thing I know published on Beatrice is what Frances C. Frederick wrote for the Historicial Society, 1980. It tells about the nameing of the village, the churchs, the stores (one owned by John Eddy). My husband's aunt Nile Moore marrrid Richard Enoch Eddy. She died 1903, their son Charles was born 1903. After Nile's death, Richard marrid Catherine V. "Katie" Welch. Any relation?
