Thomas Jefferson Crabtree was one of my Grandfathers. He and Sarah Kittles were married in Gallatin County, Illinois, on October, 1838, probably in Shawneetown, Ill ( the very southern tip of the state.

I do not know much about Sarah - do you have her death date? My information is that she was born in SC. Do you know her father? Is he Jeremiah Kittles?

Thomas died on January, 1844, and is probably buried in the Worf Lake Cemetary in Eldorado, Illinois - Saline County, only about 30 miles from Gallatin County.

I have Roberts in my geneology. William Roberts married Elizabeth Vaught in 1837 in Gallatin County. I think that the Crabtrees and Roberts family were friends.

We could be related. Where do you live? I believe that the father of Thomas could be Elbert Crabtree, who died in 1845, Gallatin County, Ill. That is as far back as I can go.
