Researching the descendants of Valentine and Sarah Cook Meadows. They had two sons, William Floyd, who settled in Alleghany Co., Va., and Jacob, who married Melinda Acord and had 13 children, most in Raleigh County. They were: Charles Austin 1882, James Clayburn 1883, Wiley Crawford 1885, Andrew J. 1887, Annie 1889, William Putnam 1891, Okey Johnson 1892, Dewey Howard 1898, Sylvia Brooke 1900, Lockie 1903, Luther Kelley 1903, Jessie M. 1906, and Thurmond O. 1908. Daughter Sylvia married a Baer and Lockie married Jink Hammons. Oakey married Carrie Coner. Wiley married Gertrude Jones. Charles married Leola Young and Sarah Milam. James married Lucille Branch. I would like to contact anyone tracing these families. I have found where three descendants of Wiley were researching the family but of course none of their aol email addresses now work. I have found several different spellings for this family but usually it is Meadows, with Wiley and Dewey using Meador
