I recently came across an article while researching my Bodkin ancestry. Shirk and his captures and finally his suicide. Other names mentioned in the article were George and Amby W. Harper, Bob Guthrie, Constable Jacob Titer (may have meant Teter?), Isaac Bodkin, Conrad Bowen, Sheriff Trumbo and Jailer Davis
