I recently found your question regarding the McCreary family and can not really help you with your question but did notice that you stated the area they are from is now Marshall County, WV. I am originally from that area and there is a McCreary's Ridge and on that road is a McCreary's Cemetery which is also where Lewis Wetzel is buried. I am not sure if there is a link to those two names but found it interesting.

LEWIS Wetzel, b. Aug. 1763, d. 1808, age 44, Rosetta, Mississippi. Reinterred in McCreary Cemetery, Marshall County, WV, 8/2/1942. Famous Indian fighter and scout, who became an American Folk-hero for his courage and boldness in the frontier wilderness. Not married.

I know as a child, in 4-H, we used to go to this cemetery and clean it every year as one of our projects to our community. I hope this helps.

The other name of Coffield that you had listed is a very common name in Marshall County, WV. I am related to the Parsons from that same area.

My husband, John S. Wilson, is the grandson of Emily Rossiter and David Wilson. Emily was born in 1861 in Huron, Ohio. I have no birth cert for her or any other concrete evidence. Is there a chance this could be her?
She is of course dead and is buried in WV. If you want
more information please write to mwilson1693@cfl.rr.com.
I sure hope this is a lead. Thanks

Hello, Here I am again. I do believe the Emily Rossiter that is my husband's grandmother is one and the same. She was born in Noble Co OH 05 May 1857, d. 06 June 1890.Buried
in WV. She was married to David Wilson. Believe her to be daughter of Samuel & Elizabeth ? Rossiter. She had siblings? Hannah, Sindley, Samuel I, Lizzie. We have a
picture of them. Please let me know if this is familiar.

Romona,

I am interested in your James Dunlap line from Ohio Co.,
W.Va. I have a Charles Dunlap in Indiana that I'm sure
had a brother James. I've been unable to connect any
parents with him. In one census, they say Charles was born in Ohio and another says W.Va. (b 1827)
Could it be possible Ohio Co., W Va? I know this may be grasping at straws, but every stone must be over turned in genealogy. Can we talk?
