Look for leads on Jacob Newton Crawford who married Mary Facer around the 1870s or any of the known two sons Harry Chalance (b:1874) and Newton. Jacob may have been adopted or took the last name of Crawford...could have been a Parkington or Parkingson. Any help would be appreciated.

Joe was Jacob from Maryland? There are two Jacob Crawfords who served in the civil war. One was named Jacob N Crawford. Both were in the Maryland militia and fought in the civil war.

I have recently had a communication regarding how my DNA results from Ancestry.com are very closely matched to the DNA of a descendant of Jacob Newton Crawford.Your original posting refers to the possibility that Jacob might have changed his name and could have been a Parkington or Parkingson. My surname is Parkinson and I live in England. I have traced the Parkinson line back to the late 18th century. They are largely from Yorkshire. I was wondering why you think that Jacob could have formerly been called Parkinson.
I look forward to hearing from you.
