Hi,

I think the last name is Herrell as several marriage records state. On the DC for Ferdinand in 1944, his wife's name that is listed looks like it could be very easily be Emma Herel.

This appears to be her family in 1880 census living in Frederick, same place as the marriage posted above has. In the 1900 census Alverna states she had 5 children with 5 still alive.

As far as the Blackfoot Indian part, all records indicate Emma's parents were white. Plus the Blackfoot/feet did not inhabit this part of the country. The Blackfoot/Blackfeet inhabited the upper midwest/northwest region near the Canadian border (Montana, The Dakotas, Minnesota).
