CLARK, James and Mahala Folden
Hello,
Am trying to find out about a son of this couple who lived in 1850 in Giles Co, then on the census in Rocky Gap, VA, but married in Monroe Co. One of their children was John L. Clark, born 1846. I am trying to see if anyone has information on him, and if he is indeed my ancestor, John Lewis Clark, born Jan. 27, 1846 at Wytheville he said, then left for Missouri in 1866 after serving in the Confederate army. He was a school master and justice of the peace later in life. Married twice and moved in 1899 to Creswell, Oregon. Wives: Marjorie Albright and Gertrude Brooking. Children: Ida Lenora, Harry Lee, James E., Clara, Silas Craig. Any help appreciated so that I can pursue this family or rule them out. Thanks, Susan Hollis Littleton, Colorado
