Mary McKELVEY & Lewis DEWEESE were probably married in Monongalia Co. about 1791 or 1792, before the courthouse fire. We know a lot about the DEWEESE family, but would like to know who Mary McKELVEY's parents were and something about her family. They left Monongalia Co. about 1807 and moved to Miami Co., OH.
Mary was b. 18 Apr 1772, place unknown, and d. 14 Aug 1847, Miami Co., OH. They sold land 9 Feb 1807, on the west side of the Monongahela, to James BARKER, "it being a part of a survey formerly granted to James SCOTT deceased, then deeded to the heirs of Joshua DEWEESE, by David SCOTT, son of James."
