Mingo mines explosion

I am also interested in this, I believe I had two young uncles age 13yr and 6/8yrs old that was killed in this accident something to do with black powder. Do you know if this is correct? I would appreciate any help. Their names was Willis Sheppard and Howard Sheppard. Thanks Nana
