Surnames: Purdy, Goodrich, Mackey
I've also been trying without success to find the parentage of my ancestor Robert C. Purdy. You provide some interesting clues. What is your source for his birthplace as Westchester County? There's a plethora of Purdys there, but I have not been able to make the connection.
