Obituary: Charleston Daily Mail, Saturday, February 17, 1945:
Lane, Mrs. Mae - Services for Mrs. Mae Lane, 56, of 103 Montrose Dr., who died Thursday in a local hospital will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Sunderman mortuary chapel, Rev. H. L. Parkinson will officiate, followed by interment in Cunningham Memorial Park.

The Charleston Gazette, Friday, February 16, 1945, page 18:
Lane, Mrs. Mary(sic) - 56, of 103 Montrose Dr., South Charleston, died at noon yesterday in a Charleston hospital. She was the widow of Ira Lane and was a member of the First Baptist church, South Charleston. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. W. J. Keatney(?) of Detroit, Mich., and a brother, S-Sgt. William Bowen of the Army, Fort Dix, N.J. The body is at the Snodgrass mortuary.
