I think Thomas Lane Carter was my great grandfather. MY great-grandfather (of that name) was born in Charleston and migrated to Louisiana Where he met and married Anna Hennen Jennings of the prominent Hennen and Jennings Families in Louisiana. They had 12 children one of whom married the fabulously wealthy Otto Beit in the UK. One of his Grandchildren was Hodding Carter, a Journalist and author and a Pulitzer Prize winner.
