After watching the webinar I am trying to follow the steps to help guide me futher into my past. One of the steps was to look for plantations and slave owners around the area that my family is from. My family primarily come from Jefferson Co and Clarke Co. However I am having a hard time figuring out what plantations were around in those areas. I have found some for Clarke Co (Shen. Valley)- Belle Grove, Long Branch, Carter Hall, and Saratoga. And I know that some of the slave owning families were Burwell, Carter, Page and Randolph but I just don't know if Im missing any slave owners or plantations. And I don't know of any plantations or owners that head in the direction of Jefferson Co.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
