My g-grandfather is named Harry Cork and was born March 6, 1888-1972. This I can verify several places. He lists his parents in several places as Charles Cork and Lizzie Jenkins and he was married to Pearl Lee Byrd. They had a son named Harry Cork Jr.
I am beginning to suspect that Harry Cork Sr. is Benjamin Harrison Cork, due to some family notes and a coincidental birthdate. Harry also listed on his 1917 draft registration card that he had a wife and 3 children. From what I can tell, he and Pearl just had the one.
Can anyone help me verify this? Maybe someone has already solved this riddle?? The census just seems to take me in circles as it shows his wife and his mother named Lizzie. I can't make sense out of it at all!!
