I have two Aunts but I dont where they live. Steves
Daughters. Steve Granpaw, died a year after my grand mother died . He lived at our house and stayed in my room I was 9 at the time. Grandpaw was born on April 9th Iam not sure of the year. He would have the same rutine. He wore a patch on the left eye He had operations for cataracks.
Grand Paw would go for a walk every day, I went with him, when we got back he would rest and wathch T.V. He didnt speak english, but he loved this country for all it had given to him.
We slept in the same room which made my sisters jelouse couse we had a T.V. in my room. I loved Granpaw, I missed him when he left us, Kinda changed my life forever.Every night mom would meke him a boiled egg, and a moon pie with a cup of tea. He would drink his tea, read his bible and pray to grand ma. He missed her so very much.
From what I know grandpaw came to this country from Chekoslovokia, he joined the US
Army. after the
Army found out that he was an immagrent the discharged him from the
Army, but gave him his status as a citizin of the US for fighting in the war., He was a loving caring sole. He bought a house on
Washington Street Weirton W. VA. and worked for Weirton Steel.untill Grandma passed away . He was 81 years old.
I dont know to much more about him as I was 9 when he died. My dad worked as a bus driver for Weirton
Pitt bus untill 1952, He then went to war with Koriea, then came home married my mom, Dad worked as a bus driver again till he went to Bloomington
Indiana from 1966
