Surnames: VANCE, MORRAL, BIBLE, SKIDMORE, MILLER, HINKLE, ARBOGAST, TURNER, DAVIS
Would like to correspond with anyone who has Vance in their family line or who has any information on Vances. John Vance, pioneer, died and is buried in Pendleton County, WV.
However, some of his descendants possibly went to Grant County, WV.

The only Ed Vance I had in my data base did not have children; however, if you can give me the names of these children perhaps I might recognize some of them. Thanks.

Hi, Perhaps your John Vance is the father of Edward Vance who married Jennie Crites in Grant County. I can't find anything about John. Let me know if you have anything else.
Thanks. Sally

I have Vances in my background. My greatgrandmother was Myrtle Vance Bensenhaver, daughter of Benjamin Coker Vance and Susan Lough Vance. I have been able to trace the Vance line back several generations. If you e-mail me names of specific people, I will provide what info I can.

Hi Chris. I am interested in the family of Robert Vance, Jr. and Malinda Harman. Do you have any information on Robert's parents, Robert Vance and Catherine Barnhouse. I know where Robert and possibly Catherine is buried. I do not agree with the information that Robert Vance, Sr., was from
Illinois. He may have gone to Illinois for awhile, but settlement
of his estate was in Pendleton County, WV. What information
do you have on Robert's father John and wife Nancy. A lot of
people have given her last name as Bradley but my research does not support this. I would love to exchange info with you.

This is the information I have been able to find.

Robert Vance, Sr. b. April 17, 1780 at Morral Place in Pendleton County. He married about 1803 Catherine Barnhouse (b. abt. 1780 in Pendleton Co./d.May 1, 1850 at Seneca in Pendleton Co.) I have not been able to determine her parents, although I have found a John Barnhouse in this area c. 1700s. I can trace the Vance line back several more generations; if you would like more info, please e-mail me directly at chris_weedy@yahoo.com.

I know that Nancy Bradley is listed on a lot of sites as John Vance's wife. So far, I have not found anyone who can offer proof.

Do you belong to the Issac Harman My Family.com site?
If not, I can get you invited.
