I am a Beall descendant and have some information on the families so perhaps can help. Who was your g-grandfather? Also, an extensive genealogy was published last spring on the Gilmer-Calhoun County Bealls. I don't have a copy yet but can provide ordering information.

The only Charles I can find is a son of Frank R. and Ada Beall in the 1920 census. Charles is two years old. I can’t find a Bud in any census so perhaps that is a nickname. Could this Charles be your g-grandfather? If so, I can likely trace his line back. If not, do you have any other information that might help locate the family—siblings, etc? Is your E-mail address correct as listed? I twice sent a message to it and it was returned.

Regarding the Beall's of Gilmer County. I am related to David P. Beall, my grandmother being Dovie Beall and her father Alfred Beall. There was a book compiled by Doris Radabaugh at Route 2, Box 475, Parkersburg, WV 26101. Phone 304-428-5421. I don't have the book.

I just ran across your messages of 2001. I am a Beall descendant. Townsend H. Beall/Catherine Parson's daughter Phoeba Ann was my great grandmother on my granddad's side and his brother George H. Beall/Mary Ann Parson'daughter Mary Ann was my great grandmother on my grandmother's side.

Yes, brothers (Beall) married sister (Parsons)
Dr. James Woofter has written an excellent hardbound book "The Chronology of the Descendants of John and Elizabeth Richards Beall. It can be ordered by Doris M. Radabaugh, Rt 2, Box 475, Parkersburg, WV 26101. ISBN 1-890050-30-X
I have always hear the story of Elizabeth Richards being an Indian. James relates the data pertaining to this ancestry.
Will be glad to look up information in the book.
