Yes I have searched under both Hurt and Hunt. The GEO. W. HUNT in the marriage record is the G.W. Hurt that I am researching. He married Mary Hellena "Lucy" Lewis, daughter of Thomas Creigh Lewis and Elizabeth B. Sandridge. I don't recall finding the 1870 and 1880 census' you cite (John and Susannah HUNT) but I will sure check into that; thank you for pointing it out. I have no information as to the siblings of George W. Hurt.

G. W. Hurt and Mary H. Hurt had three children: Gracie, John, and Jesse "Sugar" Hurt. G.W. Hurt died sometime between 1910 and 1912 because his widow Mary married my gg-grandfather Wellington Wesley Richmond in 1912. I have a great deal of information on the children post 1912 and on Mary "Lucy" Lewis Hurt Richmond but hit a wall with G.W. Hurt.
