MOUNT AIRY — Mrs. Betty
Potter Lambert, age 75 of Mt. Airy, NC and widow of Raymond
Lambert died at her home on Wednesday October 28, 2009.
Mrs. Lambert was born in
Kingston,
West Virginia October 4, 1934 the daughter of the late Elbra and Thursie Siffers
Potter.
Mrs. Lambert was retired from General Motors Corporation in
Flint,
Michigan.
Surviving are One daughter, Betty Lynn
Lambert Reed and her spouse Sean of Mount Airy; Two sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Virgie
Lambert of Mount Airy, and Blane and Shelly
Lambert of Mount Airy; Daughter-in-law, Melia
Lambert of
Culpepper, VA; Grandchildren, Jason
Lambert and his spouse, Tina,
Lia Lambert, Kristen
Lambert, Lee (Pug) Snow, Justin (
Mac) Snow, Niki Hull, and Tiffany Lambert; great grandchildren, Halie
Lambert, Dylan
Lambert and Jade McCarley; Sisters, Patsy
Potter of Mount Airy, Charmaine
Brooks of Lewisburg,
West Virginia, Alice Sebok of
Burton,
Michigan, and Genevieve Thomas of Ocala, Florida.
In addition to her husband and parents Mrs. Lambert was preceded in death by her son,
Blake Lambert, sister,
Eunice Quinn, and brothers, Roby
Potter, and J.D. Potter.
Funeral services will be held Saturday October 31, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the home of Bobby and Virgie
Lambert 277 Druid Drive (off
Sparger Road), Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by Rev. Sam Holder with burial to follow in
Ivy Green
Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Friday at the home of Bobby and Virgie
Lambert. The family would like to thank Betty’s sister Patsy for being there for Betty through the years. Moody Funeral
