Am trying to locate my great great grandfathers farm. He was William H. Jones. It was known as the Lewis place or the Jones farm.It was 556+ acres on the James River and Kanawha Turnpike in the Mountain Cove district, near the cliffs of the Ferrin Spring Branch and the turnpike. It was the subject of a partition suit in the early 1880s. Does anyone out there know this property? Does the house and out buildings still exist? And more importantly, is there an family cemetery there?
