Marvin D. Stinespring, 68, of Parkersburg, passed away May 9, 2008 at Cleveland Clinic Hospital.He was born Aug. 30, 1939 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Wilburt and May Fetty Stinespring. He was retired after 29 years of service with the Wood County Board of Education.He is survived by his wife, Edna Jean Elliott Stinespring; two daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and David Jones and Tonya and Clent Reesman, all of Parkersburg; two brothers, the Rev. Casey Stinespring of Wheeling and Richard Stinespring of Columbus; three sisters, Carol Jones of Belpre, Lenarae Minney of Parkersburg and Wanda Wayne of Spencer; four granddaughters; and one grandson.Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Jeff Wayne officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery South. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Edna Jean Elliott
Edna J. Stinespring, 60, of Parkersburg, passed away at Camden Clark Medical Center Memorial Campus.
She was born in Marietta, Ohio, April 8, 1951, a daughter of the late Charles and Mildred Mercer Elliott.
Edna was a member of the Homeland Wesleyan Church of Parkersburg.
Edna is survived by her daughters Martha Jones and David, Tonya Stinespring, all of Parkersburg; five grandchildren and two brothers Charles Elliott, Jr. of Parkersburg and David Elliott of El Paso, Texas.
In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her husband Marvin D. Stinespring.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Brady Stephens officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday and from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday prior to the service.
Marvin is my husband's first cousin
