MRS. HARRIET RUBY SHY, 87 of 649 Elm St., Huntington, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 1984, in Morris Memorial Nursing Home, Milton, after a long illness. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Beard Mortuary by Dr. Lynn T. Jones. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. She was born May 23, 1897 in Boone County, W. Va. a daughter of the late George D. and Pauline Mullins Perry. She was a former cashier at the Marshall University Cafeteria. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh G. Shy, in 1943. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Richard R. Merriman of Kansas City, Mo; three sons and daughters-in-law, Hugh G. and Irma Shy, Jr. of Barboursville, George R. and Eileen Shy of Fort Myers, Fla., and Charles H. and Betty Jean Shy of Clearwater, Fla; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Conkright of Huntington and Mrs. Pearl Greer of West Palm Beach, Fla. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Beard Mortuary
