CARL SHYE DIES RITES ON FRIDAY - Carl L. Shye, 62, proprieter of Shye's Variety Store in Barboursville for the past 14 years, died yesterday evening in a Huntington hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 A.M. Friday at the Kuhn Memorial Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Charles L. Barnett. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Cemetery. Mr. Shye was a World War I veteran. He had been an employee of Watts-Ritter Co. in Huntington for 35 years before opening his present business. Surving are the widow, Mrs. Berthe Shye; one son, Andre' Jack Shye, and one daughter, Miss Jocelyne Shye, both at home, and one sister, Mrs. W. J. Young of Huntington. The body is at the Wallace Funeral Home where friends may call after 10 A.M. today, and will be taken to the church one hour before the services.
