I am looking for any lead in locating the grave of my great great grandfather, Andrew Gunder Hanson (Hansen). The information I have discoverd so far is:
Father - Hans Dynge, b 1-11-1838, Norway, d 8-18-1907,
North Dakota, buried Elk Valley Lutheran Church Cemetery, Grand Forks County, ND.
Mother - Jertrud, b 1834, Norway, d 1927, North Dakota, buried Elk Valley Lutheran Church Cemetery, Grand Forks County, ND.
Spouse - Pauline (Lena) Fagstad, b. 1866, d 1896, North Dakota, buried Elk Valley Lutheran Church Cemetery - their marriage record in the church shows the last name spelled "Hansen" but her grave is marked "Hanson"
Children - Sally Hanson Carney, b. 1888 - d 1963,
George Hanson, b 1891 - d. 1945
William Martin Hanson, b 1895 - d 1972 - my grandfather
Brother(s) - Nels
Sometime after the death of his wife Lena, Andrew left North Dakota and went to the west coast. I have a letter from my grandfather to my mother that indicates this. It is possible that he re-married, but I cannot confirm this.
I also have a letter, written to my grandfather in 1965, from a person who identifies himself as "Uncle Knut" that states Andrew died sometime in the 1930's and a obituary was publised in a Seattle newspapaper. I have identified this person as Knut Dynge from Medford, OR. I have not been able to establish his true relationship with Andrew of my grandfather.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
