I believe your Ernst Luckner is the brother of my gggrandfather, Fred. Their parents are Adam Luckner b. Jan 1856 in NY m.abt 1877 Jennie ? b. Aug 1859 in NY. Adams parents born in Germany. They had 7 kids: Frederick Eugene Luckner b. abt 1880 in NY d. 1933; Rose Emma Luckner b.abt. 1878 in NY; Lilly Luckner b. Jan 1883 in NY; Arthur Luckner b. Feb 1889 in NY; Ernest Luckner b. May 1894 in IL; Ray Luckner b. July 1898 in IL; and possibly adopted daughter, sister, neice J??? Luckner b. Oct 1884 in NY. Got this from 1900 Census,West Town city of Chicago in Cook Cnty, IL. Adam is my brick wall. But I am working hard to bust through it now that I have found a Special Collections Library (Genealogy) in my area. Please keep in touch

Ernest Luckner
Services for Ernest M. Luckner, 82, of Mount Prospect, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Trinity United Methodist Church, 605 W. Gulf Rd., Mount Prospect. Burial will be in Mount Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst.

He died Sunday in Holy Family Hospital, Des Plaines. He was a retired accountant for Templeton Lime Building Supply Co.; a veteran of World War I; a member of American Legion Post No. 7; VFW Post No. 3681; Corner Stone Lodge No. 875; and Des Plaines Elks Club Lodge No.1526.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Doris Huseby; granddaughter, Bonnie Scovill; grandson, Warren Luckner; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence; and a son, Robert Luckner.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. today in Lauterburg and Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Hwy., Arlington Heights. Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, Mount Prospect.
