i am doing research for my husbunds side of the family. i am trying to find information on the egbert french and john edgar families both of these men married indian women and lived in the yakima area !

My husband's great-grandfather was Egbert French. We have found information about him in the census of Washington Territory and Washington state for 1850-1870. We believe that he was born in Connecticut, but we don't know his birthdate or his parents. Can you help?

Can anyone tell me anything about Mrs. Egbert French? She was Indian, but I can't find her name or the name of her tribe. She was highly respected in the community.

Egbert French was an important person in our history, holding several county offices. I know they had a daughter Susan.
