Howell Family in WA/ Idaho

I’m trying to find out about the family of Henry Howell
last found in the Whitman County Washington (Farmington)
in 1880-1890. Henry was born in Tennessee about 1834
and his wife, Margaret was born in Missouri about 1840.
Most of their children were born in Oregon it appears. Their
children in the 1880 census are:
Sarah E. 16, Mary 14, William 10, Annie 8, Charley 4, and Eveline 2.
There is a Charles Howell found in Latah Co. Idaho (also Farmington)
in 1910, 1920 & 1930 that fits this Charley. Is this the same place
that got annexed into Idaho when it became a state?

I believe Henry may be the same one that left Knox Co. TN around 1860.
He may have stayed awhile in Missouri with his sister, Harriet Howell
Maloch and family before moving Westward. The censuses indicate his
wife was born in Missouri, so he may have met her there, or her parents
(also from TN) may have been one of several Knox Co. families to move
there. Is anyone familiar with this Howell family?

I am desparately searching for information on my Aunt, Sophia W. McNair. She was born in New York in 1841 (have no Month/Date), and I last found her on the 1930 Census, living with a Nephew and his family in Farmington, Latah County, ID. However, Farmington seems to be right on the border between ID & WA, so am not really sure where she died/is buried. In the 1930 Census, she is listed as being 98; however, she was really only 89. All of her other relatives are now dead, so I am sure she is NOT still living!

Any/all information would be most gratefully received; am more than willing to pay for any information.

Thanks!
Margaret was born in Slovenia, probably in Krnica, which is in the parish of Gorje, near Lake Bled. Anyone with information or connections to this family encouraged to contact me. I am researching the Slovenes from Stearns County. Margaret was a sister to a close friend of my KUHAR family.

Is anyone currently living in Whitman County? Among old papers belonging to my father, I just ran across a newspaper clipping about the new stone entrance of the "Henry (formerly Strevy-Hughes) building on Main Street." Someone had handwritten: "built by Lloyd Stensrude 1953." That is my father, who came from a family of master stone masons. I only have one photo of his work. If the building still exists and someone is willing, I would love to have a photo of the building's stone entrance. I am assuming it is in Colfax. The article says, "The building will be dedicated to Dr. Daniel Henry, pioneer Whitman county "country doctor" and father of the building's owner, Bo Henry."

I did find where Daniel W (also known as William D) married the widow Jennie M BURKE (maiden name TAYLOR) on 22 MAR 1905 in Albion, Whitman, WA.

I became a little suspicious of the age and birth date listed for May A Schriver when I saw that she was 21 and had a 13 year old son. No, she was really born 1n 1865 in Orange, Ashland, OH. This would make her 34 at the time of the census. I often wonder about census information, however, it does provide many clues.

I need help with the births of Ralph, Netty, Lewis H and Clarence W SCHRIVER. I cannot find them anywhere in the available records on-line.

I would also like some help with Mary A (also known as Alice M) SAGE. Did she ever marry? When did she die and where is she buried?

I have been researching the SAGE FAMILY for many years and now have almost every member verified up to 1800. Every once in a while I like to intensify my research on one individual and their family.

Henry Clay SAGE was born in 1832 in Ohio, married Eliza SUMMERS on 29 DEC 1853 in Ashland, Ohio. They had four of their five children there. Alice Mary (1855), Dora L (1856), William Daniel (1859) and May A (1865). The last, Christina L (sometimes known as Fanny) was born in Eaton County, MI in 1868.

Eliza died sometime between 1870 and 1880 in Eaton County, MI - I still have not found her death date. Henry and four of his children (Dora had married James PERSONS in 1877 in Charlotte, Eaton County, MI) were still living as a family unit when the 1880 census was taken. Sometime between 1880 and 1900 they all moved to Guy, Whitman, WA.

That is where I am at now.

Can anyone help? If you are doing SAGE research I will share much of my information.

Thank you so much.

William Morrison - ten generations from David SAGE.

Their youngest son was born in Portsmouth, Clark, Washington, on 25 Jul 1891.

I am looking for any information on any Heitzmann's, (various spellings), that could be relatives.
Back in the early 1970's, my folks attempted to track down the whereabouts and info on the Starr Ranch in the Colfax or Pullman area, but didn't have much luck. My grandpa Ernest Beard worked on the Starr Ranch and taught school in the area as a young, single man beginning around 1898-1900. My mom did leave a note saying that Starr School-Distict #8 was in Whitman County. I don't know if this school was even in the vicinity of the Ranch, or connected in any way to the same Starrs as the Ranch. I would like to find out any info I can on the Starr Ranch and advice on how I might find records of schools in that area at that time and their teachers. Am I dreaming? Thanks!
I am looking for the date of death of Arthur H. Crow. He was born in 1840 and can be found in the 1910 census in Oaksdale, Washington. He has 5 children. I am also trying to locate the Historical Society that would have information about Oaksdale residents. I appreciate any information that can be shared. Thanks!

Is there any society/organization in the Oakesdale area that accepts historical items pertinent to early 1900's residents of that area? I am a 3rd generation member of the Daniel A. Robinson family and have some photos and letters (mainly per my late grandfather, Olfay Robinson) that I would like to donate to a historical society or whatever. Of course, there is any a member of this family (reading this) who would like to have these items, I would happily give such to them, too! I am also related to the William L. Mustard family, who lived in Oakesdale in the early 1900's; thus, I also have photos and letters pertinent to this Mustard branch of my family--all of which I would happily donate to a "worthy cause." Thanks for any information, etc.
