Thank you very much for looking for the obituary. When I'm in Olympia next year, I'll have to stop and get the birth and death certificates. I assumed that the boy must've been born with serious health problems and died almost two years later with the parents not wanting to give him a name. But a second child makes sense. I don't know what happened to Mary Jane since Samuel was remarried in 1897. I thought that she might've died in childbirth, but there's no death listing in the index, so they might've gotten divorced. The person who found the spot where Child Sellman was buried, must've looked at the sexton records or they wouldn't have known where to take the picture they posted in Find A Grave. I wish I had the money to place a stone there. It looks like a lot of the graves in that area don't have stones.
